These Terms & Conditions govern your use of 500.RIP and the purchase or use of digital graves, flowers, and related services.

1. About 500.RIP

500.RIP is an online digital graveyard for discontinued, abandoned, failed, paused, experimental, or otherwise memorable projects. Users may create public memorial-style listings ("Graves") for software projects, websites, games, apps, SaaS products, APIs, creative projects, and similar works. Some features are free and others are paid digital services.

A Grave on 500.RIP does not necessarily mean that the referenced project, company, creator, or product has actually failed, closed, or ceased operating. A listing does not imply endorsement, approval, or participation by the referenced creator or company.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you. If you purchase a paid service, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.

3. User Content

"User Content" includes a submitted project name, logo, URL, domain, tagline, Last Words, tags, description, images, and other submitted material. You retain ownership of your User Content.

You grant 500.RIP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, resize, reproduce, format, distribute, and generate social previews from your User Content, and to use it to promote the 500.RIP service. This license is limited to what is reasonably needed to operate, display, share, and promote 500.RIP.

When submitting content, you confirm that:

• you own the content or have permission to use it;
• the submission does not knowingly violate copyright or trademark rights;
• the submission does not violate another person's privacy rights;
• submitted links are not malicious, fraudulent, or deceptive; and
• the information is not intentionally misleading in a harmful way.

500.RIP does not independently verify ownership of every submitted project.

Graves About Third-Party Projects

Users may reference publicly known projects for commentary, memorial, archival, or community purposes where lawful. 500.RIP does not claim that every Grave was created by the original project owner, and a Grave is not an official statement that a project failed or shut down.

If a creator or rights holder believes a Grave infringes their rights, they may contact support@500.rip. A more detailed copyright and takedown process may be introduced as the service develops.

4. Prohibited Content

You must not submit or use 500.RIP to distribute:

• illegal content, malware, phishing, scams, or fraudulent links;
• copyright infringement, trademark abuse, or impersonation intended to deceive;
• doxxing, private personal information, threats, targeted harassment, or hateful or abusive content;
• content primarily intended to defame or falsely accuse a person;
• sexual exploitation; or
• spam, automated abuse, or other harmful interference with the service.

500.RIP may remove, hide, restrict, or disable content that violates these rules.

5. Free Graves

Free Graves may have a limited display duration as shown when the Grave is created. 500.RIP may change the availability, duration, or limitations of free services in the future. A Free Grave is not a promise of permanent storage.

6. Paid Graves

Paid Graves provide the digital presentation, visual design, placement, display duration, or other features described at the time of purchase.

Purchasing a Grave does not guarantee traffic, page views, clicks, customers, sales, leads, publicity, search ranking, business success, or social-media exposure.

The visual presentation of the cemetery may evolve. 500.RIP may adjust layout, interface, spacing, surrounding graphics, or presentation while preserving the core purchased digital service where reasonably possible.

7. Flowers

Flowers are paid digital items that users may send to Graves. Flowers may increase the displayed flower count, appear visually on or around a Grave, contribute to public rankings, and affect the relative visibility or ordering of Graves.

Purchasing Flowers may influence a Grave's position in rankings or its visibility within 500.RIP. No specific ranking position, duration, number of visitors, clicks, impressions, leads, sales, or other commercial result is guaranteed.

Rankings may change whenever other users send Flowers or when ranking rules, time windows, or eligible Graves change.

8. Rankings

500.RIP may operate Today's Ranking, All-Time Ranking, Most Flowers, and other ranking formats introduced later. Ranking methodology may depend on flower totals, eligible transactions, time period, activity, moderation status, and other disclosed ranking rules. Current rankings may use Flower totals as a primary ranking signal.

Rankings are part of the entertainment and discovery experience of 500.RIP. Ranking placement is not an endorsement, certification, natural-traffic measurement, or measure of the quality or commercial success of a project.

9. Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers or merchants of record. 500.RIP does not directly store complete payment card numbers. Prices shown at checkout are the applicable prices for that transaction. Payment providers may apply taxes, currency conversion, payment-method restrictions, or additional requirements where applicable.

10. Delivery of Digital Services

Paid digital services generally begin immediately or shortly after successful payment confirmation. Delivery may include activating a paid Grave, applying Flowers, enabling a purchased design, or updating eligible ranking data.

A payment return or success page is not, by itself, proof of completed payment. Services are delivered only after the server confirms the payment result.

11. Refunds

Because 500.RIP provides digital services that generally begin immediately after payment, purchases are generally non-refundable after the purchased service has been delivered or activated, except where required by applicable law.

A refund or other remedy may be considered for duplicate or incorrect charges, a technical failure that prevents delivery, or a service that was materially not delivered as described. Content removed because it violates these Terms or an applicable content policy is generally not eligible for a refund, except where required by applicable law.

12. Moderation and Removal

500.RIP may review reported content, remove prohibited content, hide Graves, disable malicious links, remove fraudulent Flowers, correct ranking manipulation, and restrict access to functionality being abused.

You must not manipulate 500.RIP through payment fraud, stolen payment methods, automated requests, bots intended to abuse the service, exploitation of software bugs, fake transactions, or chargeback abuse. If fraud, chargebacks, automation, exploits, or manipulation are detected, related Flowers, rankings, or other digital effects may be reversed.

13. Third-Party Websites

Graves may contain links to external projects or websites. 500.RIP does not control third-party websites, is not responsible for their availability, and does not endorse them merely by displaying a link. 500.RIP is not responsible for external products, content, security, or privacy practices. You visit external sites at your own discretion.

14. 500.RIP Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, 500.RIP owns or licenses its website code, cemetery design, grave artwork created for the platform, user interface, branding, original graphics, and service functionality. User Content remains governed by Section 3. You may not copy or commercially redistribute proprietary 500.RIP assets without permission.

15. Service Availability

500.RIP aims to keep the service available but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, technical failures, third-party outages, security issues, or product changes may temporarily affect availability. Features may be added, changed, removed, or redesigned over time.

Do not treat 500.RIP as permanent backup storage. 500.RIP does not guarantee indefinite storage of submitted content, especially free, abandoned, removed, illegal, or policy-violating content. Keep your own copy of material that matters to you.

16. Disclaimer

500.RIP is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. 500.RIP does not promise uninterrupted service, a specific ranking, commercial performance, or continued availability of every feature. Nothing in these Terms affects rights that cannot legally be waived.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 500.RIP is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

18. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for your unauthorized uploads, rights infringement, illegal activity, and abuse of the service. You may also be responsible for reasonable losses directly caused by those actions, subject to applicable law. This section does not create unlimited liability or remove protections that the law gives you.

19. Changes to These Terms

500.RIP may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date, and additional notice may be provided where legally required. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

20. Suspension and Termination

500.RIP may restrict access where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, serious Terms violations, or abuse. Refund eligibility remains subject to Section 11 and applicable law.
