Content Policy

500.RIP hosts public, project-related memorial content. This Policy explains what may be posted, what is prohibited, and how creators or rights holders can request review.
1. Project-Related Content
Graves may contain a project name, URL, logo, description, tags, Last Words, dates, and related material. Submit only content you own, are permitted to use, or may lawfully reference for commentary, memorial, archival, or community purposes.
2. Prohibited Content
Do not use 500.RIP for:
- illegal content;
- copyright infringement or trademark abuse;
- impersonation intended to deceive;
- doxxing or private personal information;
- malicious links, malware, phishing, scams, or fraud;
- threats, targeted harassment, hateful or abusive content;
- sexual exploitation;
- intentionally false accusations primarily intended to harm a person; or
- automated spam or other abuse of the service.
3. Graves About Third-Party Projects
A Grave may be created about a project without participation from its original creator. The existence of a Grave does not mean the project has officially closed, the company has failed, the creator agrees with the listing, or 500.RIP endorses the claim.
500.RIP may review disputes and remove, hide, or modify content where appropriate. Context, public interest, rights ownership, accuracy, safety, and applicable law may be considered.
4. Links and Security
Project links must use HTTP or HTTPS and must not lead to malware, phishing, credential theft, deceptive downloads, or fraudulent services. 500.RIP may disable a link while investigating a safety report.
5. Rights and Takedown Requests
Send requests to support@500.rip. A useful request should preferably include:
- the Grave URL;
- your identity or relationship to the project;
- a concise description of the issue;
- relevant rights information; and
- the action requested.
Do not send unnecessary sensitive documents through email. 500.RIP may request limited additional information where reasonably needed to evaluate the request.
6. Moderation Actions
Depending on the issue, 500.RIP may leave content unchanged, request clarification, correct or limit content, disable a link, hide or remove a Grave, remove fraudulent Flowers or ranking effects, or restrict abusive functionality. Serious or repeated abuse may also be addressed under the Terms.
7. Reporting
The Grave Detail panel includes a “Report this Grave” link that opens an email with the Grave identifier in the subject. Reports are reviewed manually for the MVP; no public moderation database is created by this feature.
